XIKAR humidifier liquid is a solution of 50% propylene glycol and 50% distilled water. Using the XIKAR grout you achieve several goals at once: 1. prevention of mold and bacteria, 2. a microfilm forms on the surface of the humidifier, which does not allow moisture to be absorbed at a level above 70% and gives it away at a level below 70%. That is, the humidifier self-regulates to the required humidity level, about 70%. This is the only way to keep your favorite cigars in proper condition for an unlimited period of time.
